From the Parish Council

We are pleased to announce that Bishop George V. Murry, SJ (Diocese of Youngstown) and the Very Reverend Ronald M. Klingler (Basilica Rector) have agreed that Father Klingler will remain at the Basilica for another year.  We are thrilled with this news, and are so proud of Father Klingler.  Our Pastor has made such a HUGE impact on the Basilica during his nearly thirty year tenure here (kept our parish from closing, supported community outreach, acquired a world class pipe organ, continued maintenance on our historic building and the Elevation of our parish to Minor Basilica status).  His sense of compassion has sustained him as he has honored his vows as a priest.  As Father Klingler announced, he has endured the effects of Parkinson’s’ over the past several years, as well as multiple surgeries (back, hip and knee replacement).  We as a parish can make his journey even easier by continuing to come together to complete the work of our parish; a parish that worships together and reaches out to those in need.  Thank You Father Klingler and thank you, our parishioners.
